On May 30, 2025, an extraordinary cycling event was held by Vélo Québec (https://www.velo.qc.ca/festival-go-velo-montreal/un-tour-la-nuit-infosparticipant/). It was 21 km of pure joy! In fact, we rode about 25 km, including the distance between the car and the event. It felt so short because it was so enjoyable!

Valérie Adam and I, Anne Aster, took part in the event wearing full shielding suits (but no gloves because it was too hot). We wore long-sleeve silver tops and pants, silver helmets, and stainless steel mesh.

Most participants thought we were wearing costumes or humorous outfits for the event, which some described as “cool and stylish.” But some quickly understood it was real shielding for serious reasons. Without these clothes, it wouldn’t have been possible for us to take part in such an event. Nowhere along the route would it have been possible to remove our helmets because the microwave RF power levels in Montreal are so high.

The wave problem wasn’t only on the route. It wouldn’t have been possible to eat at a restaurant or at a picnic table in a park, so I brought a portable Faraday cage for two, a 12-V rice cooker connected to a camping battery, and we ate inside the Faraday cage at Étienne-Desmarteau Park near the event.

During the cooking time, we relaxed on inflatable cushions while staying shielded. The reality of the experience is this: we were exposed to less than 1µW/m² under our helmets and clothing, and with a hand on the grass, we grounded ourselves. The same inside the Faraday cage. We felt so good and relaxed! The well-being was fantastic! It means we felt better this way than without shielding in other places where the waves are weaker. Nowadays, it’s very rare to find a place where waves are at 1µW/m² or less. Usually, you have to go far from cities to find that—and even then! In St-Jérôme in the Laurentians, I recently measured 3,190,000µW/m² on highway 15! And to think that we, EHS, feel “good” at <3µW/m²!!!

Cool and... definitely a first! Imagine the residents watching us from their balconies. Many couldn't resist the urge to ask us questions.

At the park, there were public washrooms. To get there, we had to walk past a soccer field. We were noticed by the young players, who showed great curiosity, interest, open-mindedness, politeness, and respect. I must admit, their mature, wise attitude, their nobility of spirit, and the quality of their humanity moved me deeply—to the point that just thinking about it as I write these lines brings me to tears. If only most people were like them! Meeting them was so precious!

The kids gathered around us twice, wanting to know everything. As they began to understand more, one of them told us that every time he carried his cell phone in his pants pocket, he felt pain in his genitals. Who knows—maybe our conversation saved one young person from a sad fate?

The meal was ready—nice, hot, and delicious—and the Faraday cage was set up. In the distance, you can see a father with his two daughters filming the scene. Life is like a circus, isn’t it? You get used to it.

Less than 1µW/m² inside the Faraday cage. The light was blinking green, but the photo missed it. Valérie was modifying her helmet to insert and secure her bike helmet—it was more comfortable for her. As for me, I kept mine as it was. However, I lost some stickers that peeled off. In my photos, you can see the "No Bluetooth" logo is missing. Later, I lost another one.

This Faraday cage was assembled in 2 minutes. It was super simple and easy. I made a video about this model. It’s on my YouTube channel and on this website, in the “Shielding Yourself” section.

The Faraday cage seen from the front. You can’t see well through this side alone because the door is double to ensure good sealing. It should be noted that in a context like this, the cage is grounded since it’s on the grass. There’s no need to add a shielding mat in this case.

The atmosphere of the event, from start to finish, was magical. It seemed that, in general, people have been so tested in many ways since 2020 that now, when an event like this happens, they seem to appreciate it more, as if it does them more good than before. I felt a different energy compared to the years before 2020. Or maybe it’s just me seeing things differently, I don’t know. I was born in Montreal and have lived most of my life in this city that I love. I would have happily spent the rest of my life here, but because of the exaggerated, toxic, and deadly increase in microwave RF intensity in Montreal since 5G in 2020, I live in exile, like a climate refugee.

It was my first time at the Tour la Nuit since I left Montreal in 2020. Riding these streets by bike, remembering it was my life before 5G, realizing I was now a tourist there, waves of intense emotions mixed with nostalgia and gratitude rose up, and I struggled to hold back my tears, telling myself that on a bike was not the time. Valérie is not from Montreal, but since 5G antennas were installed near her home, such an outing is far from ordinary, as she spends almost all her time locked inside, unable to enjoy her yard because the waves there are too intense to mow the lawn or use the pool. A shielding outfit isn’t compatible with those activities.

With the shielding, we were not bothered by the 5G antennas, people’s phones, or Wi-Fi boosters. At some points, we rode under Hydro-Québec high-voltage power lines — not torture, but annoying. A little further, we stopped briefly to touch the grass and then continued. The lack of sun and the light wind made wearing the shielding suits tolerable. Cycling in the sun on a hot day would have been difficult. Tour la Nuit was the perfect event for us, and we really enjoyed it! We fully intend to return next year if it doesn’t rain. It would be so cool to go with other shielded EHS to share this joy, because... happiness multiplies when shared. If you want to join us next year, contact us! Just thinking about it is exciting!

We thank everyone we met along the way. ALL were kind, respectful, and pleasant. No incidents, no intolerance, nothing! Just friendly encounters!

We should remember that the situation with waves in 2025 is quite similar to cigarette smoke in the 1950s. Doctors said smoking was safe for everyone, including pregnant women, babies, and the sick. People smoked in hospitals, and sensitive people existed, but they were mocked, seen as troublemakers or exaggerators, and no accommodations were made... but those affected by smoke persisted and insisted... and they won. It took a long time, but it happened. There were "no-smoking" sections in public places for a few years, and eventually, laws changed, allowing us to visit public places without being smoked out. One day, I dare hope, public places will be accessible to EHS without shielding.

Mr Cig in 1953... like 5G antennas and Wi-Fi in hospitals in 2025!

Valérie and I hope to see you join events like this too! Shall we meet at the next Tour la Nuit? That gives us a year to prepare with shielding, gear, and accessories. Let’s organize!

Merci.

Thank you Marie! You can have yours too! You will find all the information you need in this website, mostly in the shielding section and if you have any question, you can write it down in the comment section.

Thanks for making EHS visible. Glad it was so much fun. What is the cost of the suits and the Faraday tent?

Thank you Wendyk!

Shirt and pants : about 300$ Helmet material (you have to assemble it by yourself) : about 150$

Under it, best is to wear linen clothing. The price of it depends on where you shop.
