Candidates who care about Canadians' health and the environment.
C4ST is calling on Candidates seeking Election to the 45th Canadian Parliament to agree to take action for change around the following issues if elected:
- Parents are worried about the impact of cell phones and excessive screen time on their children.
- Canadians are increasingly concerned about the harmful impacts of wireless radiation.
- Despite growing evidence that wireless radiation acts as an environmental toxin causing deleterious effects on plants and wildlife, including pollinators, non-human species are not protected under Canadian law.
C4ST is asking Candidates to agree, if elected, to champion or support at least one of the following:
A- HESA
A request that the Standing Committee on Health (HESA) undertake a study regarding screen impacts on children including social and mental health, as well as health impacts of wireless technologies based on recommendations made by HESA in 2015. This would be acted upon within 12 months of the opening of Parliament.
B- ENVI
A request that the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development (ENVI) undertake a study regarding electromagnetic radiation and the establishment of protective guidelines for wildlife and other nonhuman species. This would be acted upon within 12 months of the opening of Parliament.
To support C4ST in its campaign, you can write to the candidates in your region to ask them to accept C4ST's request.
